Summer is an exciting time for kids that includes swimming, eating popsicles, and taking family vacations. Sleep Away Camps
Camp Carolina – A residential camp that aims to teach boys to “learn to feel with their hearts, do with their hands and live together in the spirit of brotherhood”. Various sessions lengths, K through 11th grade, boys.
Camp Thunderbay – A residential equestrian camp for girls that will teach your horse lover everything from equine care to jumping. Campers are assigned a horse for the week and are responsible for the complete care of that horse. Week long sessions, ages 7-16, girls.
Charlotte Hornets Hoops Camp – From instructional drills to competitive games, the Charlotte Hornets Hoops camp is sure to please any sports loving kid. 4 days, 9:00AM to 4:00PM, ages 7-14, co-ed.
Camp Neptune – Charlotte Mecklenburg’s Camp Neptune is an all aquatic summer camp that teaches campers how to wakeboard, snorkel, and dive amongst other activities. 5 days, 7:30AM to 6:00PM, ages 8-13, co-ed.
Camp Invention – Allow your child’s imagination and creativity to soar while they explore science, technology, engineering, and innovation. 4 days, 8:30AM to 4:40PM, rising K through 6th graders, co-ed.
Mint Museum Summer Art Camps – These art camps are led by artists and allow campers learn skills such as printmaking, fiber art, 3-D, and sculpting with paper and art journaling. Various dates/times/age groups.
Discovery Place Nature Summer Camps – Discovery Place offers a wide variety of camps centering around a nature theme. Full and half day camps, 9:00AM – 4:00PM, pre-k to 8th grade, co-ed.
